Saudi graduates entering the job market are finding more entry-level opportunities as private-sector hiring expands under national employment plans. Positions requiring zero to two years of experience typically pay between SAR 4,500 and SAR 8,000 with technology roles paying around 15–20% more on average.
Across most sectors, starting salaries currently cluster around SAR 5,500 to SAR 7,000 Mid-level roles rise to between SAR 10,000 and SAR 16,000 monthly, giving graduates a clear path for growth in their early careers.
Where the jobs are
Initiatives under رؤية السعودية 2030 have generated about 1.2 million new jobs since 2021, with youth employment and graduate integration into the private sector a central focus. High-demand fields — digital transformation and IT, renewable energy, healthcare, entertainment, logistics, tourism and hospitality — together account for roughly 65% of new positions.
The main hubs for graduate hiring are الرياض, جدة and نيوم, with roles at نيوم generally offering salary premiums of 15–25% over comparable jobs in الرياض. Common entry-level roles include software developers, data analysts, digital marketing specialists, junior engineers, sales representatives, call-center staff, customer service agents and administrative assistants.
New Saudization rules for 2026
Under updated Saudization and Nitaqat 2026 rules, many entry-level roles are now reserved for Saudi nationals. These include HR assistants, payroll clerks, recruitment coordinators, administrative officers, junior accountants, sales executives, call-center agents, customer service representatives, IT helpdesk staff, project assistants, store supervisors, front-desk staff and cashiers at major retail chains.
Banking, finance, telecommunications and insurance carry high or very high Saudization targets, boosting demand for Saudi graduates. Structured on-the-job training is supported by the Tamheer program, designed as a temporary transition tool from graduation to permanent employment.
