Saudi Ministry Launches Advanced Manufacturing Center

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has launched the Advanced Manufacturing and Production Center, a national hub aimed at steering the Kingdom's industrial transformation and expanding the use of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies across Saudi factories.

The center is designed to serve as the country's main platform for smart-manufacturing programs and to strengthen the global competitiveness of local industry. At its core is the Factories of the Future program, which aims to upgrade more than 4,000 factories into smart, automated facilities powered by advanced digital and industrial technologies.

The transformation model relies on SIRI assessments to gauge each factory's readiness, followed by tailored digital-transformation roadmaps and hands-on implementation support delivered through certified technology partners. The approach is tied to Vision 2030 and the wider drive toward efficiency, automation, localization, and competitiveness in manufacturing.

To scale the effort, the ministry signed a cooperation agreement with the World Economic Forum in 2026 to develop a scalable model and a digital toolkit for industrial transformation in the Kingdom.

What's next

The industrial-transformation exhibition Industrial Transformation Saudi Arabia 2026 is scheduled for 30 November to 2 December 2026 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center (RICEC) in الرياض. For factory owners, manufacturers, and workers across the sector, the initiatives signal a clear shift toward automation and digital skills — changes that are expected to reshape jobs, training, and business opportunities in Saudi industry in the years ahead.
