Saudi Arabia has launched a new Saudi Package Visa pilot, giving travelers from seven countries a single online way to book their trip and secure an entry e-visa at the same time. The scheme, launched in July 2026 under the Ministry of Tourism and the Saudi Tourism Authority, covers citizens of India, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Mexico.
Under the pilot, the visa is issued as part of an integrated package. Travelers book return flights, licensed hotel accommodation, a Saudi entry e-visa, and at least one event or activity in one transaction through an accredited online travel platform. As of September 2026, the named accredited providers are Webook.com, Reserval, and Almosafer. Applications are made directly through their booking systems and apps.
The Package Visa e-visa is issued electronically after the package purchase is completed. Processing is typically described as instant to within about 24 hours, with many approvals reportedly delivered the same day.
Why it matters
For these seven nationalities, tourist entry under the pilot is tied to the package. They do not use the standard standalone Visit Saudi e-visa route, and may face separate or more limited options if applying outside the package system.
The general tourist e-visa remains available through the official Visit Saudi portal for eligible nationalities, offering a 1-year multiple-entry visa with up to 90 days of stay for tourism, family visits, events, and Umrah outside Hajj. Recent fee guides for the general (non-package) e-visa in 2026 range from a SAR 300 visa fee plus SAR 235 mandatory medical insurance (SAR 535 total), to around SAR 395 including insurance, while some commercial intermediaries quote an all-in cost near SAR 654.
Travelers are advised to confirm current details directly through the approved booking platforms before purchasing.
