Set Up a Company Online via Saudi Business Center

Entrepreneurs and investors in the Kingdom can now establish a company from start to finish online, with the Articles of Association authenticated electronically and the Commercial Registration issued in the same process. The service runs through the Saudi Business Center platform (business.sa) under the Ministry of Commerce, removing the need for routine ministry-branch visits.

Applicants log in using the National Single Sign-On through نفاذ or an investor account, then select Company Establishment and the legal form. The application requires the company name, activities, capital, registered office, partners, managers, authorities, and the Articles of Association data before review and submission.

Once submitted, electronic approval and authentication requests are sent to all partners. Manual authentication is needed only when a required approval cannot be obtained electronically. After all approvals are completed, an electronic invoice is issued, payable by SADAD or bank card. On payment, the authenticated Articles of Association are issued, the Commercial Registration is generated, and the contract is published electronically.

Published fees

For a limited liability company, the published fees before VAT are SAR 1,200 for the Commercial Registration and SAR 500 for publishing the Articles of Association, totaling SAR 1,700 before VAT or SAR 1,955 including 15% VAT. These figures exclude Chamber of Commerce membership, licenses, permits, and other activity-specific charges.

Joint-stock and simplified joint-stock companies pay a SAR 1,600 registration fee plus SAR 500 for publication, while general and limited partnerships pay SAR 1,000 plus SAR 500, with 15% VAT applied. The final invoice always controls the amount payable.

The Commercial Registration is issued for the registration term selected in the application and shown on the invoice. By consolidating formation, authentication, publication, and registration into one online workflow, the process aims to shorten setup time and make starting a business in the Kingdom simpler for residents and investors alike.
