stc to Sponsor 7th Disability Conference in Riyadh 2026

stc Group has signed a strategic sponsorship agreement with the King Salman Center for Disability Research to support the 7th International Conference on Disability and Rehabilitation (ICDR 2026), set to take place from 11 to 13 October 2026 at the King Faisal Conference Hall inside the InterContinental Riyadh hotel.

Held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and chaired by Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the conference is organized every four years by the King Salman Center for Disability Research. It brings together a national alliance of Saudi entities, including the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities, and King Faisal Specialist Hospital, among others.

Running under the theme "Royal Patronage, Global Standing," the 2026 edition offers an international platform for researchers, specialists, innovators, and organizations working in disability research, healthcare, and rehabilitation. The program features the presentation of the latest research and technologies, the King Salman Global Award for Disability Research ceremony, an artificial intelligence hackathon serving persons with disabilities, and the participation of more than 530 scientific research papers.

Why it matters

As strategic sponsor, stc Group will support the conference's digital infrastructure and services in its role as a telecommunications and ICT provider. The company will also back initiatives aimed at empowering persons with disabilities, improving quality of life, and supporting nonprofit and research activities in disability and rehabilitation.

For residents and specialists in Riyadh, the event promises a major gathering that combines science, technology, and community support, reinforcing the Kingdom's growing focus on inclusive care and innovation in the field of disability and rehabilitation.
