TASI Closes Up 1.1% at 11,079 Points

The Saudi stock market ended Sunday's session in positive territory, as the benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed up 1.1% at 11,079 points on 23 August 2026. Total turnover on the Main Market reached about SAR 4.6 billion for the day.

During the session, the index touched an intraday high of around 11,085 points and a low of roughly 10,961 to 10,967 points before settling at its closing level. The trading value reflects the aggregate of all executed trades on the Main Market during the day and does not include separate fees charged to investors.

Official benchmark data — including the closing level, percentage change, traded value, and market capitalization — is published through the Saudi Exchange's online market-watch and detailed daily report services for the Main Market. Figures are displayed in Saudi riyal and updated for every trading session, alongside historical index values for 2026.

What it means for investors

For residents and expats trading Saudi-listed shares, standard regulatory and exchange fees in 2026 remain modest. These include an exchange trading fee of 0.012% of trade value, a Capital Market Authority (CMA) fee of 0.005%, and a Depository Center fee of 0.006% — a combined 0.023% or 0.046% for a round trip, excluding the broker's own commission.

These fees are applied automatically through the investor's licensed broker within the Saudi Exchange and brokerage systems, and do not require any separate government platform. The fee schedules are continuous with no fixed expiry and stay in force until officially amended through Saudi Exchange and CMA circulars.
