Time Attack 2026 Opening Round Ends in Jeddah

The opening round of the Saudi Toyota Championship Time Attack 2026 concluded at Jeddah Corniche Circuit after three days of competition running from 27 to 29 August 2026, drawing a strong turnout of local motorsport fans.

The championship season is made up of three rounds, all staged at Jeddah Corniche Circuit. Round two is scheduled for 3–4 September 2026, while the third and final round will take place on 15–16 October 2026.

Time Attack is an individual time-trial format rather than mass-start racing. Drivers set off separately and compete for the fastest lap time while following a fixed route and strict safety rules. Final positions in each category are decided by the best time across two competitive runs. In the opening round, the first run began at 16:00 and the second at 19:45, with the day wrapping up around midnight with the podium ceremony and awards.

The competition uses a 3.4 km circuit with 13 turns, and entries are split across 11 categories plus a Ladies Cup. For round one, 107 competitors — men and women — registered, and 74 of them passed technical inspection to take part in the competitive runs.

Mamoun Amr Alkabbani set the fastest overall time and was listed as the top winner of the opening round.

Why it matters

The event underlines Jeddah's growing role as a hub for motorsport in the Kingdom, offering residents and visitors a free-flowing schedule of practice and competitive sessions across three days. With two more rounds ahead this season, fans in Jeddah have further opportunities to follow the action live at the Corniche circuit.
