Al-Hilal Cruise Past Al-Ahli 3-0 in Riyadh

Al-Hilal delivered a commanding performance to defeat Al-Ahli 3–0 in the Roshn Saudi League, in a match played on 1 September 2026 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.

The hosts struck early, with Sergej Milinković-Savić opening the scoring in the 9th minute. Crysencio Summerville then doubled the advantage in the 23rd minute, putting Al-Hilal firmly in control before the break.

The result was sealed late in the game when Ollie Watkins found the net in the 86th minute — a memorable moment as the striker marked his Al-Hilal debut with a goal.

Why it matters

The comfortable win underlines Al-Hilal's strong start and offers an early statement in one of Saudi football's most closely followed rivalries. For fans across Riyadh, Jeddah and beyond, the clash between two of the Kingdom's biggest clubs remains a highlight of the domestic calendar.

Watkins' scoring debut is likely to generate significant excitement among supporters, adding to the growing attention on the Roshn Saudi League and the international talent now competing in it.
