Al-Ittihad Beat Al-Faisaly 3-1 to Top the Table

Al-Ittihad secured a 3–1 victory over Al-Faisaly on 11 September 2026 in the seventh round of the Roshn Saudi League, a result that lifted the team to the top of the standings on the day.

With the three points, Al-Ittihad reached 17 points and moved temporarily into first place, holding a two-point lead over Al-Hilal, who had 15 points at that stage of the season.

The standings shifted in the following weeks. By 25 September 2026, Al-Hilal had climbed to first place with 18 points, while Al-Ittihad sat second with 17 points, keeping the race for the top spot tight between the two clubs.

For Al-Faisaly, the defeat left the side struggling in the lower half of the table. In the latest available standings, the team held just 3 points and sat in 16th place.

The close margin at the top adds early-season intrigue for football fans across the Kingdom, particularly in Jeddah and Riyadh, where support for the leading clubs runs high. With the season still in its opening rounds, both Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal remain firmly in contention as the league continues.
