Al-Ittihad Beat Al-Nassr 2–1 in Jeddah Derby

Al-Ittihad defeated Al-Nassr 2–1 in Matchweek 5 of the 2026–27 Saudi Pro League on Friday, 5 September 2026, at Alinma Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City, Jeddah.

George Ilenikhena opened the scoring early for the home side, finding the net in the 4th minute before doubling the lead in the 22nd minute with his second goal of the night. Al-Nassr pulled one back through Ângelo Gabriel in the 36th minute, but the visitors were unable to complete the comeback.

The result left Al-Ittihad on 11 points in fourth place after the round, while Al-Nassr stood on 12 points in second place, keeping both clubs among the early-season front-runners.
