Al-Nassr Fall 4-0 to Al Ain in ACL Elite Opener

Al-Nassr began their AFC Champions League Elite 2026/27 campaign with a heavy 4-0 defeat away to UAE side Al Ain, in a league-stage fixture played on 15 September 2026 at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.

Al Ain took control of the encounter with a four-goal display. Houssine Rahimi struck twice, while Soufiane Rahimi and Giorgos Giakoumakis added one goal each to complete the scoreline against the Saudi visitors.

The result, part of the West Region group phase of the competition, leaves Al-Nassr with zero points after matchday 1, while Al Ain opened their campaign with three points.

For Al-Nassr's supporters across the Kingdom, the opening loss makes the upcoming league-stage fixtures decisive as the club looks to recover ground and stay in contention for qualification. The early setback places added pressure on the team to build momentum in the matches ahead.

The AFC Champions League Elite remains the region's top continental club competition, drawing strong interest from football fans in Riyadh, Jeddah and beyond who follow the Kingdom's clubs on the Asian stage.
