Al-Ittihad beat Al-Nassr 2-1 in Pro League week 5

Al-Ittihad defeated Al-Nassr 2–1 in matchweek five of the 2026–27 Roshn Saudi League, in a match played on Saturday 5 September 2026 at Alinma Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City, Jeddah, before a reported crowd of more than 47,000 spectators.

George Ilenikhena put Al-Ittihad ahead early, scoring in the 4th minute and doubling the lead in the 22nd minute. Al-Nassr pulled one back through Angelo Gabriel in the 36th minute, leaving the half-time score at 2–1 in favour of the hosts. Neither side managed to score in the second half.

The result ended Al-Nassr's unbeaten league run and handed the club its first defeat of the 2026–27 season. Despite the loss, Al-Nassr remained on 12 points in second place after matchweek five. Al-Ittihad moved up to 11 points and fourth place following the win.

The clash between two of the country's most-followed clubs drew strong interest from fans across Jeddah and beyond, with the late-evening kick-off at King Abdullah Sports City creating a lively atmosphere on a busy football weekend for local supporters.
