Al-Qadsiah Beats Abha 2-1 for Best League Start

Al-Qadsiah secured a 2–1 win over Abha on 16 October 2026 in the ninth round of the Saudi Roshn League, lifting the club to the top of the table and marking its strongest-ever start to a league season.

The victory took Al-Qadsiah to 22 points from nine matches, built on seven wins, one draw, and a single defeat. The result pushed the side temporarily into first place, one point clear of Al-Hilal, which had played one match fewer.

With the campaign still in its early rounds, the standings remain fluid, and Al-Hilal retains a game in hand. Still, Al-Qadsiah's consistency across the opening nine fixtures underlines a notable run of form for the club.

For football fans across the Kingdom, the tight gap at the top adds extra interest to the coming rounds, as the title race shapes up early in the season. Al-Qadsiah's record-setting start gives its supporters plenty to celebrate as the competition continues.
