Al Qadsiah Rally Past Al Shabab in RSL Opener

Al Qadsiah launched their 2026–27 Roshn Saudi League campaign with a battling 3–1 comeback win over Al Shabab in the season's opening round on Thursday, 13 August 2026, at SHG Arena (Al Shabab Club Stadium) in Riyadh.

Al Shabab made the brighter start, taking the lead through Hammam Al Hammami in the 15th minute in front of their home crowd. But Al Qadsiah responded strongly, recovering from the early setback to overturn the deficit and run out 3–1 winners by the final whistle.

Julián Quiñones was central to the visitors' turnaround, contributing a goal and an assist as Al Qadsiah found the net three times to seal all three points on the opening day.

Why it matters

The fixture marked one of the first-day matches of the new Saudi Pro League season, which kicks off on 13 August 2026 and runs through late May 2027. Opening-round results often set the early tone, and Al Qadsiah's away comeback gives them momentum heading into the campaign.

For fans in Riyadh, SHG Arena remains a key destination on the football calendar. Tickets for league matches are typically available online through official club and league ticketing platforms, with multiple seating categories offered. Supporters are advised to check the official channels for confirmed pricing and availability ahead of upcoming rounds.
