Al-Shabab Beat Al-Taawoun 3–0 in Pro League Round 8

Al-Shabab secured a convincing 3–0 win over Al-Taawoun in round eight of the 2026–27 Saudi Pro League, played on 11 October 2026.

The hosts took the lead through Abdullah Matuq in the 18th minute. Ricardo Mathias doubled the advantage deep into first-half stoppage time, scoring in the 45+6th minute to send Al-Shabab into the break two goals ahead.

Al-Shabab sealed the result late in the second half, with Yannick Carrasco adding the third goal in the 85th minute to complete the clean-sheet victory.

Why it matters

The three points lift Al-Shabab's momentum in a competitive league season, while the clean sheet underlines a solid defensive performance from start to finish. For Al-Taawoun, the result is a setback as the campaign continues.

The Saudi Pro League remains a major draw for football fans across the Kingdom, including residents and expats in cities such as the Riyadh and Jeddah. Round eight fixtures continue to shape the early standings as clubs push to build form through the season.
