Al Riyadh secured a 2–0 home win over Al Kholood in Round 7 of the Saudi Pro League 2026–27, played on 13 September 2026 at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in Riyadh's al-Malaz district. The match kicked off at around 9:00 pm local time.
The first half ended goalless, with both sides unable to break the deadlock. Al Riyadh took the lead in the 65th minute through Kader Keita, before Rodrigo Abascal sealed the result with a second goal in the 89th minute to make it 2–0 at full time. The fixture was officiated by referee Mohammed Al-Shahrani.
Despite the scoreline, Al Kholood dominated much of the play, holding roughly 57–60% possession and forcing 11 corners to Al Riyadh's none. However, the home side proved more clinical, registering five shots on target compared with three for the visitors. Al Kholood committed 15 fouls to Al Riyadh's 10.
What it means
The win extends Al Riyadh's recent edge over Al Kholood. Their last four league meetings have now produced three wins for Al Riyadh and one for Al Kholood, including a 2–0 away win in February 2026 and a 1–0 home victory in October 2025.
Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium, with a capacity of around 22,500, remains a regular venue for Al Riyadh home matches and other Pro League fixtures in the capital, offering local fans a convenient venue in the heart of the city.
