The win lifted Al-Wehda to 15 points from nine matches, placing the team fourth in the standings. Al-Jabalain currently leads the chasing pack in second place with 18 points, while Al-Saqer remains tenth on 10 points after the defeat.

For supporters in Makkah and across the region, the home victory offers encouragement that the team can sustain its momentum in the coming rounds.

The Saudi First Division serves as the second tier of the Kingdom's football pyramid, and its standings are closely followed by fans tracking which clubs are positioning themselves for promotion. With the competition tightly contested in the early rounds, points gained at this stage can prove decisive later in the campaign.

Al-Saqer, meanwhile, will look to recover ground in the lower half of the table as the season continues. The matchup underlined how competitive the division has become, with narrow margins separating sides across the standings.
