Princess Nourah University, Ministry of Sport Boost Women's Sport

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University has signed a cooperation memorandum with the Ministry of Sport in February 2026, aimed at strengthening women's participation and leadership across the sports sector in the Kingdom.

The memorandum focuses on research in sports law, specialized training for female law students, professional development programs, and seminars. It also places a clear emphasis on preparing women for leadership roles within the sports field, aligning education with the growing opportunities for women in Saudi sport.

Building on earlier partnerships

The agreement follows a separate cooperation arrangement signed on 31 December 2025 with the Saudi Arabian Athletics Federation. That earlier agreement covered student training, sports-science workshops, joint research, events, community activities, and the qualification of female sports leaders.

Together, the two agreements reflect a wider national push to open sport to women as participants, professionals, and decision-makers. For students and aspiring professionals, the programs offer a structured path into careers that combine academic study with practical experience in sport.

No fees, application procedures, service validity periods, or operating schedules were announced for the programs. Saudi Living will share further details for the community as they become available.
