Bergwijn hat-trick lifts Al Ittihad past Al Hazem 3–2

Steven Bergwijn scored his first hat-trick for Al Ittihad as the Jeddah-based club edged Al Hazem 3–2 in a five-goal thriller in the third round of the Roshn Saudi League 2026–2027 season.

The 28-year-old winger netted all three of his side's goals, combining one strike from open play with two penalties. His decisive spot-kick came around the 80th minute to seal the narrow victory in the Kingdom's top-tier competition.

The performance marked several milestones for the forward. These were his first league goals of the current season, the first hat-trick of his career in the competition, and his first treble in an Al Ittihad shirt.

With the three goals, Bergwijn's tally for the campaign rose to five goals and one assist in roughly 300 minutes across five matches. That leaves him two goals short of matching his five-goal return from the previous Saudi Pro League season.

The Roshn Saudi League is the top-tier professional football league in Saudi Arabia, where Al Ittihad remains one of the country's most followed clubs. For fans across Riyadh, Jeddah and beyond, match information and official highlights are available through the league's own digital channels and Al Ittihad's club media.
