Civil Defense Lifts Najran Early-Warning Alert

Saudi Civil Defense issued an early-warning alert for Najran Province on 22 September 2026, notifying residents of a potential danger through the National Early Warning Platform. The alert was lifted the same day after authorities confirmed the danger had passed.

During the alert, Civil Defense advised residents to remain indoors, avoid open areas and gatherings, refrain from filming, and follow official instructions until the situation was cleared. The measures were precautionary and temporary, ending once the all-clear was announced.

Emergency contact numbers

For Najran and other Saudi regions outside Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, residents can reach Civil Defense on 998. In those four regions, the unified emergency number 911 applies.

Official updates during such events are shared through the National Early Warning Platform and the official Saudi Civil Defense account on X. Residents in Najran and across the Kingdom are encouraged to rely only on official channels and to keep emergency numbers accessible.

Early-warning alerts are designed to give communities time to take simple safety steps. Because these notifications can be issued and lifted quickly, staying calm, following instructions, and avoiding the spread of unverified information helps keep everyone safe.
