The construction of Jeddah Tower, rising in Jeddah Economic City north of Jeddah, has recorded a major safety milestone, surpassing more than 16 million work hours without a lost-time incident and with zero fatalities during the current construction programme.
By late July 2026, the structure had reached approximately 430 metres, spanning between 106 and 107 floors, as work continues toward a targeted completion in 2028.
Why this matters
The milestone reflects sustained safety standards on one of the region's most complex active construction sites. For the thousands of workers involved and the wider community following the project, an accident-free record on a build of this scale is a notable achievement in the sector.
The tower remains an active construction site and is not open to visitors. No visitor fees, booking steps, validity periods, or official public-access channels have been announced at this stage.
As the project advances floor by floor, it continues to serve as a landmark development for Jeddah, with further progress expected in the coming years ahead of the planned 2028 completion.
