Civil Defense has announced that the immediate danger has passed in Jeddah, while urging residents to continue following official safety instructions until the situation fully stabilizes.
Authorities called on the public to avoid gathering near affected areas, refrain from filming, and stay away from any locations that may pose a hazard. Keeping clear of such sites helps emergency teams work safely and allows traffic and daily life to return to normal.
As a precaution for any future alerts, Civil Defense outlined a set of safety steps for the community. People indoors should move to an interior room away from windows, glass, balconies, and rooftops. Those outside should enter the nearest building or take shelter behind a solid barrier.
Drivers who receive an alert while on the road are advised to stop in a safe spot away from bridges, tunnels, and high-rise buildings until it is safe to continue.
How to report emergencies
Residents can report any emergency through the Kingdom's dedicated channels: 911 or Civil Defense on 998. Quick and accurate reporting helps responders reach incidents faster and keeps the wider community safe.
Saudi Living encourages all residents and visitors in Jeddah to stay calm, rely only on official guidance, and share verified safety information with family and neighbors.
