Cricket Clubs and Academies Grow Across Saudi Arabia

Cricket is growing quickly across Saudi Arabia, with the national federation now overseeing 370 clubs, 107 grounds, 2 academies and 15 regional associations for the 2025–2026 season. The expansion is driven by rising participation among youth and community players in cities across the Kingdom.

Grassroots efforts focus on school, academy and community programs, including tournaments, clinics and structured talent pathways. A national Schools Cricket program is active in major cities such as Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, targeting boys and girls in international and other schools.

Community and social initiatives include monthly Social Cricket events held in at least five cities, with dedicated programs to encourage participation among women, families and children. Organizers say the priority is providing proper playgrounds, academies and safe environments for children and youth to play recreationally or pursue a professional path. Programs tied to the World Cricket Festival 2025 aim to connect grassroots players with professional pathways and global events.
