Grassroots Cricket Grows Across Saudi Arabia

Grassroots cricket is seeing broad growth across Saudi Arabia, with the sport's national federation activity for the 2025–2026 season spanning 370 clubs, 107 grounds, two academies, and 15 regional associations. The expansion reaches players of all ages in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and other cities.

National grassroots programs now include school cricket, community tournaments, coaching clinics, and talent pathways. The national championship has grown into a large-scale competition involving 14 regional associations, 405 teams, and nearly 7,500 players.

Academies and clubs for all ages

Several academies and clubs offer structured training. In Jeddah, The Net Indoor Cricket Academy lists registration at SAR 300 with indoor coaching for multiple age groups. KAUST Cricket Club in Thuwal near Jeddah offers annual membership at SAR 100, event access for non-members at SAR 50, and a free Juniors season for eligible KAUST-community participants aged 6–16.

In Dhahran, Peninsula Sports Academy lists cricket-inclusive packages at SAR 754 and SAR 1,559 with three-month options. JSC Sports / Delhi Capitals Cricket Academy in Faisaliyah, Jeddah, trains boys and girls aged 5–17 across four development categories.

Women's cricket is also expanding. The Festival of Cricket Women's Edition offers free school registration, and its 2026 event included more than 300 women players and officials across 30 teams from the Eastern Province, Riyadh, Jeddah, and nearby areas.

For families and newcomers, these programs offer accessible entry points into the game at a range of price levels. Publicly available information does not currently point to a single nationwide registration portal or a standardized federation fee, so prospective players are best served by checking directly with the specific club or academy they wish to join.
