Culture Ministry Moves to New Diriyah Headquarters

The Ministry of Culture has completed its relocation to a new headquarters in Diriyah's Northern District, with the building now fully operational as of August 2026. The move places the ministry within the integrated Diriyah urban master plan, near the At-Turaif District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The new headquarters is described as the largest standalone office building in Diriyah, spanning a built-up area of 33,168 square metres. Its design draws on traditional Najdi architecture, reinterpreted in a contemporary institutional form that blends heritage with modern function.

The building forms part of the wider Northern District, which is being developed as a major hub that includes educational and arts districts, the King Salman Foundation, museums, a university, a library, and a public square within a large multi-billion-riyal development. The district is being built under contracts that include a SAR 7.8 billion joint venture covering major construction packages.

Green building standards

The headquarters has achieved LEED Gold certification (LEED v4, Core and Shell) as well as Mostadam Gold commercial certification under Saudi Arabia's national green building rating system. The project's scope covered full design and execution of structural, architectural, finishing, and electromechanical works, delivered between 2022 and 2025–2026.

For residents and businesses, the ministry's public contact details remain listed at King Faisal Road, Bujairi, Diriyah, postal code 13711/1371100, with service hours from Sunday to Thursday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No new government service fees or procedures have been announced in connection with the relocation, and standard ministry channels for inquiries continue as usual.
