The Cabinet has authorized Saudi Arabia's Minister of Culture to move forward with two new cultural-cooperation initiatives, one focused on museums and the other on the Arabic language, through the signing of draft memoranda of understanding with partner institutions abroad.
Under the first authorization, the Minister of Culture, or a deputy, may negotiate and sign a draft museum-cooperation memorandum with Morocco's National Foundation of Museums. The arrangement is intended to open avenues for collaboration between Saudi museums and their Moroccan counterparts.
The second authorization relates to the Arabic language. The Minister of Culture, in his capacity as chairman of the board of trustees of the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, or a deputy, is authorized to negotiate and sign a draft Arabic-language-cooperation memorandum with Tunisia's Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts.
Both decisions concern draft memoranda of understanding at this stage. No fees, application steps, validity periods, or public-service procedures were specified, and no user-facing government platform or process is involved.
For residents and the wider community, the initiatives signal continued investment in cultural exchange and in efforts to support the Arabic language and shared museum expertise. While these are intergovernmental agreements rather than public services, they reflect a broader push to strengthen the Kingdom's cultural sector and its ties with regional partners.
