Riyadh Art, Wrth Sign Cultural Cooperation Deal

Riyadh Art Program, operated by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, and the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts, known as "Wrth," signed a memorandum of understanding on 15 October 2026 to cooperate across cultural and creative fields.

The agreement focuses on joint initiatives that bring together contemporary art and traditional arts, drawing on the strengths of both sides to enrich the capital's cultural scene.

Under the memorandum, the two parties plan to exchange expertise and roll out art-residency programs, seasonal events, workshops, discussion sessions, professional courses, digital learning, and community-engagement programs. The cooperation also covers joint promotion, participation in relevant international events and forums, and the development of traditional-art-inspired products and artworks aligned with Riyadh Art's identity.

Why it matters

For residents and visitors in the capital, the partnership points to a wider range of cultural experiences that connect heritage craftsmanship with modern creative practice. Workshops, courses, and community programs are expected to offer new opportunities for people to learn, take part, and engage with both traditional and contemporary art.

No fees, validity period, or application process were announced. Saudi Living will share further details on specific programs and events as they become available.
