Urban Cycling World Championships in Riyadh Cancelled

The Urban Cycling World Championships, scheduled to take place in Riyadh from 3 to 7 November 2026, have been cancelled,

The two parties cited recent regional developments along with related logistical and organisational considerations as the reasons behind the decision. No replacement date or alternative venue has been announced so far.

The championship was expected to bring together elite riders competing across urban cycling disciplines, which are known for their fast-paced events staged in city settings. Hosting the event would have added to Riyadh's growing calendar of international sporting competitions.

For local cycling fans and the wider community, the cancellation means one of the season's highlight events will no longer take place as planned. Residents who had been following preparations for the championship will now await any further updates on whether the event may be rescheduled in the future.

Saudi Living will continue to monitor developments and share any official updates regarding a possible new date or venue as they become available.
