Akasa Air Extends Riyadh Flight Suspension to Oct 24

Akasa Air has extended the suspension of all its flights to and from Riyadh until October 24, 2026, leaving travellers advised to confirm arrangements before heading to King Khalid International Airport.

The carrier has also halted all flights to and from Jeddah until October 21, 2026. The extended suspension affects passengers who had booked travel on routes connecting the two Saudi cities.

Options for affected passengers

Travellers whose flights are impacted can choose a full refund to their original payment method, with the airline expecting refunds to be processed within seven days. Alternatively, passengers may reschedule their trips without paying any additional charge.

Those who booked through a travel agent or another partner are advised to contact that provider directly to arrange a refund or a new booking, rather than dealing with the airline.

Before travelling to King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, passengers are strongly encouraged to check their flight status with Akasa Air to avoid unnecessary trips to the terminal during the suspension period.

The move matters for residents and expats who rely on this connection for travel plans and family visits. Confirming the latest flight status and acting early on refunds or rescheduling can help affected passengers avoid delays and make alternative arrangements in good time.
