Saudi Arabia has approved the formation of the board of the Saudi Arabian Sport Culture Federation, in a step aimed at strengthening the sector's governance and development. The approval was issued by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal on 16 January 2024.
The new board is chaired by Dr. Suleiman bin Omar Al-Jaloud, and includes a group of members tasked with guiding the federation's work and setting its direction.
The board members are Mohammed bin Saad Al-Dossary, Asaad Arefah, Nawal Abdullah Al-Issa, Abdulazim Saud Al-Otaibi, Waad Abdullah Al-Fawaz, and Mohammed Saleh Al-Sulaiman. The federation's current term is reported as 2025–2028.
Why it matters
The formation of a dedicated board reflects continued attention to organizing and supporting specialized sports entities in the Kingdom. For residents and the wider community, a structured federation can help shape programs, standards, and activities tied to sport culture over the coming years.
The appointment covers both leadership and membership roles for the stated term, giving the federation a clear structure to carry out its responsibilities.
