CyberHero Robot Sports League Debuts in Riyadh

Riyadh hosted the global debut of CyberHero, described as the world's first humanoid robot sports league, on 9 September 2026. The invite-only launch event took place at MBC Studio 1, Boulevard City, Riyadh, with doors opening at 8:30 PM ahead of a 9:00 PM start.

The show pitted two teams of three robot fighters against each other in a best-of-seven combat format. The competing machines were EngineAI T800 humanoid robots, purpose-built for the league's high-energy contests.

Organisers presented the Riyadh launch as the first in a planned series of CyberHero events set to roll out in major cities around the world, with an inaugural season scheduled across eight cities.

Why it matters

The debut positions Riyadh at the forefront of a new category of technology-driven entertainment that blends robotics, artificial intelligence and live sports. For residents and visitors, it signals the city's growing role as a hub for cutting-edge events and global premieres.

While the opening night was limited to invited guests, the league's plans for wider expansion suggest future opportunities for the public to experience robot combat firsthand as CyberHero travels to additional cities in its first season.
