Gold Price in Saudi Arabia Passes SR502 per Gram

Gold prices in Saudi Arabia climbed to a new high in October 2026, with the 24-karat price exceeding SR502 On 19 October 2026, the recorded market price reached approximately SR502.25

Other popular purities moved higher alongside it. The 22-karat price stood at around SR460.39 while the widely bought 21-karat gold, common in jewelry, was priced at roughly SR439.47

Small gold bars, favored by savers and gift buyers, also reflected the rise. A 1-gram bar cost about SR552.47, while a 2.5-gram bar was priced near SR1,318.40. These figures exclude any seller-specific charges.

Why it matters

Gold remains a popular choice among residents and families in the Kingdom, whether for savings, jewelry, or occasions such as weddings and gifts. Rising prices directly affect household budgets and buying decisions.

Shoppers should keep in mind that these are indicative market prices only. The final cost at any shop can vary depending on making charges, VAT treatment, the specific store, and the time of the transaction. Comparing prices across retailers and asking about added fees can help buyers make better-informed purchases.
