Hira Cultural District Launches Cultural Program

Hira Cultural District in Makkah has launched a new cultural program offering educational and entertainment activities for residents and visitors, with the program reported to run through August 28, 2026. Located about 5 km from the Haram, the district is open 24 hours, and no ticket is needed to enter the district itself.

The district is home to several attractions, including the Revelation Exhibition and the Holy Qur'an Museum, along with visitor facilities such as cafes, restaurants, a park, and children's activities. Its address is listed as Hussein Serhan, Mecca 24239.

Timings and fees

The district and the Hira Cave ascent road operate 24 hours a day. Museums and exhibitions are open Saturday to Wednesday from 7:30 AM to 11:30 PM, Thursday from 7:30 AM to 1:00 AM, and Friday from 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM.

While entry to the district is free, the main paid experience is the Revelation Exhibition, priced at 30 SAR with a 25 SAR group rate. Children under 7 enter free of charge.

No official fee, permit, or application step through any government platform was identified for entering the district or joining the cultural program, making it an accessible destination for families and cultural visitors in and around Makkah. The activities offer a chance to explore the site's history alongside modern amenities in one location.
