Jazan Municipality has launched a series of community and field initiatives to welcome students at the start of the 1448H/2026 academic year, including the distribution of more than 50,000 gifts to students and the installation of over 500 "Welcome back" signs across the city.
The welcome signs and promotional banners have been placed in streets and public squares throughout Jazan city, carrying the official visual identity and slogan of this year's back-to-school campaign, "We Write a Story." The campaign follows the Ministry of Education's unified official identity for the 1448H/2026 academic year, which aims to standardize educational messages and communication across public spaces and platforms.
Traffic and cleaning operations
The gifts and signage are part of a wider municipal plan to smooth the return to school. The plan includes traffic flow management around 257 schools in Jazan to ease congestion during the busy opening days of the term, along with intensive cleaning operations in and around approximately 1,360 schools to maintain a clean and healthy environment for students, teachers, and staff.
The student gifts and welcome signs form part of a community service activity carried out directly by the municipality. No participation, registration, or service fees have been published for students or parents, and no specific validity periods have been announced. Families are not required to register through any electronic platform to benefit from the campaign.
For the community, the initiative signals a coordinated effort to make the first days of the school year smoother and more welcoming, from cleaner school surroundings to easier traffic flow and a shared visual identity that ties the season together across the city.
