The city of Riyadh has opened applications for the second edition of the Real Estate Balance Program, with the application window running from 16 August 2026 until 15 September 2026. The initiative aims to expand access to residential land for eligible Saudi families in the capital.
it targets up to 40,000 residential plots per year in Riyadh, with a price cap set at SAR 1,500 per square meter. The program is administered by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, and the only channel for applying is the Real Estate Balance Platform.
Who can apply
Eligibility is limited to applicants who are Saudi nationals, married or aged 25 and above, have no prior property ownership, and have resided in Riyadh for at least three years. Applicants who meet these conditions can submit their requests during the announced window.
The application process follows several stages: submitting the application online, an eligibility review, an announcement of eligible applicants, and then a lottery and allocation phase. This step-by-step approach is intended to give qualified residents a fair path to obtaining land.
For many families in the capital, the program represents a practical route toward home ownership, one of the wider goals aligned with the Kingdom's housing objectives. Residents who believe they qualify are encouraged to review the requirements carefully and complete their applications before the deadline of 15 September 2026, as this remains the stated closing date for this round.
