Hira Cultural District Launches Summer Program in Makkah

Hira Cultural District in Makkah, located at the foot of Jabal Hira, has launched a daily cultural program combining educational and entertainment activities for families, running each evening from 6:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. through 28 August 2026.

The program offers theater performances, competitions, live shows, handicrafts and games, alongside an educational caravan and an interactive learning corner. A varied evening lineup has been designed for families visiting the district during the season.

The activities take place within a wider destination that includes several attractions already operating on the site. Visitors can explore the Revelation Exhibition, an interactive experience on the story of revelation and the biography of the Prophet, with a core walkthrough of around 45 minutes. The Holy Qur'an Museum displays Qur'an manuscripts and digital exhibits, while the Saudi Coffee Museum and its cafes and restaurants serve Saudi coffee and light meals.

The district also features a cultural library, Hira park, a garden and a children's hall offering educational and recreational activities throughout the day.

Why it matters

The summer program is part of seasonal cultural and enrichment events at Hira Cultural District, positioned as a family destination for pilgrims and visitors to Makkah. It gives residents and travelers an accessible way to combine learning and leisure in one location. Access is typically through direct on-site visits or standard tourism booking channels, with no specific ticket prices publicly listed for the program at this time.
