Three museums across Riyadh and Jeddah will host special programs to mark Saudi National Day, offering interactive experiences, guided tours, and family activities beginning September 23, 2026.
At the National Museum of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh, the National Day program runs from September 23 to 26, 2026, taking visitors on an interactive journey through the museum's stations. Admission to the permanent galleries is free, though some events may require advance reservation. The museum's usual hours are 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from Monday to Wednesday and on Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, and 2:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Friday. It is closed on Sunday, and new visitors are not admitted during the final hour of operation.
In Jeddah, the Red Sea Museum at the historic Bab Al-Bunt building will hold National Day activities on September 23, 2026, running from morning until night. The program, titled "A Nation's Story," features face painting, creative coloring, guided tours, and family activities, and includes Saudi Sign Language interpretation for Deaf children and people with disabilities.
Also in Jeddah, the Tarek Abdulhakim Museum will present musical workshops and interactive family activities from September 23 to 25, 2026, daily from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m.
The programs give families across both cities accessible, free-to-enter ways to celebrate the national occasion. Visitors can follow the official digital channels of the Museums Commission and the National Museum for reservation details and updates.
