Qatar Airways Cuts Jeddah Flights to Four Daily

Qatar Airways has reduced its services between Doha and Jeddah, cutting the number of daily flights from seven to four. The change applies to flights operating between the two cities and may affect passengers holding existing bookings.

Travellers who have already booked flights on the Doha–Jeddah route are advised to contact Qatar Airways within 48 hours before their scheduled departure to confirm their arrangements. The airline has noted that flight schedules remain subject to change.

The reduction comes alongside continued disruptions on other Saudi routes. Qatar Airways flights to Riyadh and Dammam remain cancelled through 24 October 2026, leaving Jeddah as the carrier's main point of service in the Kingdom for the time being.

Why it matters

For residents and expats who rely on direct connections between Saudi Arabia and Doha — whether for work, family visits, or onward international travel — fewer daily options mean less flexibility and a greater need to plan ahead. Reduced frequency can lead to tighter availability and the possibility of rebooking if a chosen flight is adjusted.

Passengers planning upcoming trips are encouraged to verify their flight details directly before heading to the airport and to allow extra time for any changes. Saudi Living will continue to follow developments affecting travel options for the community.
