Qiddiya Launches Gaming and Esports District

Qiddiya has announced the launch of its Gaming and Esports District, a large-scale project located in Qiddiya City, southwest of Riyadh. The district was unveiled in December 2023 as part of the wider entertainment destination taking shape near the capital.

the district will span more than 500,000 square metres, including approximately 100,000 square metres dedicated to retail, dining, and entertainment. It is designed to house four esports arenas with combined peak tournament seating for around 73,000 spectators.

Published figures indicate that one arena is planned with about 5,155 seats, while another venue is described with roughly 5,300 seats. The scale of the project reflects growing interest in gaming and competitive esports across the Kingdom.

What visitors should know

As of September 2026, the district's individual arenas, restaurants, attractions, ticket prices, opening hours, and visitor booking procedures are not yet publicly confirmed as operational. No admission fees, venue-specific prices, or official booking steps have been confirmed for currently operating venues within the district.

Ordinary visitor access does not require any government application procedures. For residents and families in Riyadh, the district signals a major addition to the region's entertainment and leisure options once it becomes fully operational.
