Riyadh Air has launched a new direct air link between the Saudi capital and the Philippines, connecting King Khalid International Airport (RUH) in Riyadh with Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) in Manila. The service began on 9 September 2026 and is operated using Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
The route initially runs four round-trip flights service will increase to daily flights from 19 October 2026, offering travellers more flexibility across the week.
The flights operate under the numbers RX873 for the Riyadh–Manila leg and RX874 for the return Manila–Riyadh leg.
Why it matters
The new route is a notable addition for the large Filipino community living and working across Saudi Arabia, as well as for business travellers and families moving between the two countries. A direct connection can shorten journey times and reduce the need for connecting stops.
Fares, exact departure and arrival times, seat availability, and baggage allowances can vary. Travellers should confirm all details, including ticket prices and any applicable fees, through Riyadh Air's official booking channels.
Booking a flight does not by itself require any Saudi government service or procedure. Entry requirements depend on each passenger's nationality, passport, visa status, and purpose of travel, so travellers are advised to verify the rules that apply to their trip before departure.
