Riyadh to Host 21st IDRA World Water Congress 2026

Riyadh will host the 21st IDRA World Congress on desalination and water reuse (IDRA 2026) from 1 to 5 November 2026, organized by the Saudi Water Authority under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture. The congress will bring together more than 2,200 participants from over 100 countries at the King Faisal Convention Center, InterContinental Riyadh.

Held daily from 08:00 to 16:00, the event will convene around 400 experts and specialists in the water sector. Its technical program features more than 200 peer-reviewed paper presentations spread across four parallel theaters each day, alongside 25 plenary sessions offering several new discussion formats. Two exhibition halls will run in parallel with the congress.

Under the theme "Driving Global Water Sustainability Through Innovation," the congress will spotlight the latest advances in desalination, water reuse, and integrated water management, while addressing global water security challenges. Organizers describe this edition as a milestone that reflects Saudi Arabia's leading role in the global water sector.
