Roblox to Open MENA Regional Headquarters in Riyadh
Roblox is establishing a regional headquarters (RHQ) for the Middle East and North Africa in الرياض, part of a long-term investment in the Kingdom's digital economy under رؤية السعودية 2030. The new base is designated as the company's MENA headquarters, focused on regional operations, partnerships, and support for its creator community.
The Riyadh headquarters is not a local consumer or regulatory service center for Saudi-resident users. Instead, it will concentrate on regional business activity and on building the creator ecosystem across the wider MENA area. The move is supported by وزارة الاستثمار, Riyadh Creative District, and the General Authority of Media Regulation as part of broader efforts to grow the Kingdom's gaming and digital content sectors.
The announcement is tied to wider training and ecosystem-building initiatives, including work with Savvy Games Group and educational partnerships in Saudi Arabia. These are aimed at expanding local game development and creator training, helping more Saudi talent enter the fast-growing gaming and interactive content industry.
No Saudi-specific fee schedules in ريال سعودي, licensing tariffs, or creator charges have been detailed in connection with the headquarters. Likewise, no new mandatory government-platform steps are specified for opening or working with the Riyadh base, and no per-transaction figures or local price tables have been published.
