Qiddiya Unveils Gaming & Esports District Plan

Qiddiya announced on 23 September 2026 the launch of a dedicated Gaming and Esports District within Qiddiya City, located southwest of Riyadh. The project positions the area as a large-scale hub for competitive gaming and the wider game-development industry.

The district is planned to cover approximately 183,100 square metres. it will include four esports arenas with a combined peak tournament capacity of around 73,000 seats, making it one of the region's most ambitious gaming-focused developments.

Beyond competitions, the district is designed to become an industry base. Plans call for hosting 25 esports clubs alongside more than 30 regional headquarters for game-development companies, bringing players, teams and studios together in a single location.

Why it matters

For gaming fans and families across Riyadh and the wider Kingdom, the announcement signals a growing local scene for esports, tournaments and industry careers. The concentration of clubs and company headquarters could also create opportunities for aspiring professionals and content creators in the sector.

It is important to note that the district is currently a planned and developing destination. The launch announcement does not confirm that its venues are open to the public. At this stage, there are no confirmed ticket prices, entrance fees, operating hours, or booking steps available.
