Shoppers across Saudi Arabia can take advantage of a major nationwide sales season as the Ministry of Commerce launches its "2026 Sales" campaign, covering more than one million discounted products in physical stores and online outlets. The campaign runs from early August 2026 until October 30, 2026, in all regions of the Kingdom.
The campaign includes consumer goods of all types sold by retail outlets and e-commerce platforms, with discounts applied directly by participating businesses. It is an exceptional sales period of up to three months that does not deduct any days from a business's regular annual discount allowance, which typically covers 90 days.
How businesses can join
Commercial establishments and online stores wishing to take part must obtain a discount license electronically through the Ministry's dedicated sales platform at sales.mc.gov.sa. The application is fully online, and permits are issued in a fast, automated manner. There is no stated government fee for applying, and participation is open to businesses across all regions, subject to compliance with discount regulations.
Licensed establishments can print and display official discount permits inside stores and on their websites, showing the campaign details to customers. Each permit carries a barcode or QR code that shoppers can scan with a mobile phone to verify the authenticity of the discount, its type, percentage, duration, and the establishment's details.
To protect shoppers, Ministry inspection teams are deployed nationwide throughout the campaign to monitor compliance, confirm the accuracy of advertised discounts, and prevent misleading promotions. Residents and visitors are encouraged to scan permit codes before buying to ensure any advertised discount is genuine and officially licensed.
