Saudi Arabia Launches Package Visa Tourist Pilot

Saudi Arabia has launched a new Package Visa pilot in July 2026, allowing international visitors to bundle their tourist visa, round-trip flights, hotel stay, mandatory health insurance, and optional activities into a single booking through approved travel platforms. The pilot is coordinated by the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, and the Insurance Authority.

The pilot opens to six nationalities in its first phase: Jordan, Egypt, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Mexico. Bookings are made through accredited external platforms — Reserval and Almosafer — rather than through government portals. Each package must include a confirmed round-trip flight, a Ministry of Tourism–licensed hotel rated at least four stars, an integrated electronic visa application, and mandatory health insurance.

Pricing and stay limits

The minimum package value covering the first two days is SAR 4,000 On Almosafer, this breaks down to SAR 3,597.79 for travel bookings and SAR 402.21 in mandatory government visa, insurance, and processing fees. Each additional day beyond two adds a minimum of SAR 1,000

The visa is single-entry and valid for three months from the scheduled departure date. Visitors must stay a minimum of two days and may remain up to 88 days within the validity period. Visa issuance takes up to 48 hours after purchase data is verified, and all documents — visa, insurance details, and itinerary — are delivered digitally by email, with no embassy visit or separate application required.

For residents and expats with family and friends abroad, the pilot could simplify how visitors plan longer, multi-city trips across the Kingdom, supporting the broader tourism goals of رؤية السعودية 2030.
