Saudi Arabia Targets 150 Million Visitors by 2030

Saudi Arabia has set a goal of welcoming 150 million visitors annually by 2030, marking one of the most ambitious tourism targets in the region and reflecting the Kingdom's continued push to grow its visitor economy.

To support this growth, the standard tourist eVisa is valid for one year, allows multiple entries, and permits stays of up to 90 days. The visa covers a wide range of purposes, including tourism, attending events, visiting family, and performing Umrah outside the Hajj season.

The tourist visa does not authorize employment or study. Eligible travelers can apply through the official Saudi eVisa portal or the Visit Saudi platform, making the process accessible to visitors planning trips to the Kingdom.

Visa on Arrival for Some Travelers

Applicants who hold a valid United States, United Kingdom, or Schengen visa may qualify for a visa on arrival, provided the applicable conditions are met. This option offers added flexibility for frequent travelers and those visiting the Kingdom at short notice.

For Saudi Living's community of residents and expats, the target signals a steady expansion of tourism infrastructure, events, and services across the country. A growing visitor economy often brings more hospitality options, cultural programming, and travel connectivity that benefit both newcomers and longtime residents.

Travelers are encouraged to confirm current fees, eligible nationalities, and any specific requirements through official channels before applying, as some details may be updated over time.
