Saudi Arabia has set a goal of welcoming 150 million annual visitors by 2030, a target that combines both international and domestic travelers as the Kingdom continues to expand its tourism sector.
Under one current formulation of the goal, the figure is divided into 70 million international visitors and 80 million domestic visitors. The ambition builds on recent momentum: the Kingdom recorded approximately 122 million visitors in 2025, placing it within reach of its longer-term targets.
The push toward higher visitor numbers matters to residents and expats alike, as growth in tourism supports jobs, new attractions, and expanded travel and hospitality services across major destinations.
Visiting Saudi Arabia on an eVisa
For eligible nationalities, the tourist eVisa remains the simplest route into the Kingdom. The eVisa is generally valid for one year from the date of issuance and permits multiple entries, with stays of up to 90 days It cannot be extended.
Applicants should note that the application fee is displayed during payment on the official Visit Saudi eVisa portal and includes applicable VAT and required medical insurance; the exact amount can change over time. A passport must generally remain valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
Travelers are reminded that paying the fee does not guarantee approval, as each application is subject to review. Applications should always be submitted through the official Visit Saudi eVisa portal.
