Saudi F&B Market Set to Hit $58.3 Billion by 2033

Saudi Arabia's food and beverage sector is on track for major long-term growth, with market projections placing its value at about USD 58.3 billion by 2033. The figure is a future forecast rather than a current market size, and reflects sustained demand across dining, packaged foods, and beverages.

Different market trackers measure the sector in different ways. Recent 2026 estimates put the Saudi F&B market anywhere from the high-30 to high-80 billion dollar range, depending on whether the definition covers only packaged food and non-alcoholic beverages or the wider ecosystem including services and retail. One projection values the restaurant and café food-service market at roughly USD 30.5 billion in 2026, rising to nearly USD 48.7 billion by 2034, while the retail food market alone was estimated at about USD 57 billion in 2025, excluding restaurant service fees.

Across these trackers, the compound annual growth rate for Saudi F&B and food service through the early 2030s is generally in the 5.5–6.5% range — a steady pace that underscores how central dining out and food retail have become to daily life in the Kingdom.

Restaurants explore new ways to fund growth

Alongside this growth, demand for alternative financing is described as rising, particularly among premium dining and asset-light, brand-driven operators who often face cautious lending from traditional banks. To fund expansion, many Saudi F&B and restaurant SMEs are turning to non-traditional models. These include revenue-linked or revenue-based financing, where repayment is tied to a percentage of gross revenues or customer spending, as well as Shariah-compliant funding structures.

For residents and expats, the trend points to a maturing dining scene: more restaurant concepts, more investment, and financing tools designed to help smaller operators scale. It is worth noting that these projections and financing models are private-sector market trends, not a regulated government program or official fee schedule.
