Saudi Falcons Club Auction 2026 Set for Malham, Riyadh

The Saudi Falcons Club Auction 2026 will take place from 1 October to 30 November 2026 in Malham, north of Riyadh, at the National Center for Falcons headquarters. The event highlights the Kingdom's deep-rooted falconry heritage and gives enthusiasts a dedicated marketplace for locally trapped birds.

This year's auction accepts only locally trapped juvenile migratory peregrine falcons, known as Shaheen Bahri, captured in Saudi Arabia during the trapping season. Adult peregrine falcons (Qarnas) and saker falcons (Hur) are excluded from the 2026 edition.

Buying and selling transactions carry no auction fees, making participation more accessible for buyers and sellers. The auction is broadcast on television and streamed through the National Center for Falcons' social-media channels, allowing followers across the country to watch the bidding as it happens. Public hours are typically listed from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily.

Why it matters

Falconry remains a cherished part of Saudi culture, and organized auctions help sustain the tradition while supporting local trappers and breeders. The Malham headquarters has become a central venue for the country's falcon community. Earlier this year, the separate International Falcon Breeders Auction 2026 was held at the same location from 5 to 25 August 2026, with sales exceeding SAR33 million and one falcon reaching SAR1.3 million.

For residents and expats curious about this heritage practice, the two-month run offers a chance to see the sport up close, whether in person during the evening hours or via the live broadcast and streaming channels.
