Saudi Pro League 2026-27 Season Dates Confirmed

Saudi sports authorities have confirmed the calendar for the 2026–27 Roshn Saudi League, which will run from 13 August 2026 to 29 May 2027. The season features 34 rounds and 306 matches spread across 103 available matchdays, with roughly 80 days set aside for international breaks and national-team commitments.

A notable feature of the new season is a full pause in January 2027 to accommodate continental and national-team obligations, and to allow Saudi Arabia to host the 2027 AFC Asian Cup. The monthly breakdown allocates four rounds each in August, September and October; three rounds in November and December before the pause; then three rounds in February, two in March, six in April and five in May.

In terms of scheduling, 25 rounds are set for weekends, four rounds fall partly on weekends and weekdays, and five rounds are entirely midweek. The calendar has been designed around the international window, the aftermath of the FIFA World Cup 2026 (11 June–19 July 2026), and preparations for hosting the Asian Cup. Saudi Arabia will play in Group H at the World Cup alongside Spain, Cape Verde and Uruguay.

Squad planning will be shaped by two registration periods: a summer window from 22 July to 6 September 2026, and a winter window from 3 to 31 January 2027. In a related update, Round 10 of the current 2025–26 season has been moved from 19–21 December 2025 to 22–25 February 2026 to ease a congested calendar.

For fans in Riyadh and Jeddah, matches will feature at familiar venues including Al-Awwal Park and King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Kingdom Arena, King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah, and Al Hazem Club Stadium in Ar Rass. The confirmed dates give supporters and clubs early clarity to plan a demanding season built around major international events.
